Regaso Launches Cebu Operations
The long wait is over as Republic Gas Corporation (Regasco) finally expands operations in Cebu. This is part of its company mission to provide affordable and top-quality Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) to Filipino families and businesses throughout the country.
Truly Filipino
The brand was first established in June 1998. For the past two decades, Regasco provided Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in Luzon, Philippines. Over the years, the company has proven to be consistent.
Despite economic challenges, Regaso never wavered in ensuring that their product was safe, easy on the budget and up to par with world standards. Hence, LPG emerged to become a stable in the everyday lives of Filipinos.
Rapid Growth
In line with its expansion program, Regaso rapidly expanded to open more than 200 direct-retail one-stop shops and 25 refilling plants. Their market share growth in the LPG industry eventually led to launching their operations outside Luzon.
Cebu Expansion
Within four months, Regasco strengthened ties with 20 big dealers in Cebu, a refilling plant in Compostela and a growing number of one-stop shops in various areas. Areas include Compostela, Liloan, Consolacion. Mactan, Labangon, Mandaue, Lapu-lapu and Cordova and soon to be Danao City, Bogo City, Talisay City, Pardo and Minglanilla.
A significant aspect of Regaso’s Cebu expansion is a second terminal and LPG depot in Mandaue City. The depot has a storage capacity of 2 x 1,000MT and fully-operational as of late last year.
The latest development is geared towards making its Cebu operations more efficient since direct transportation of LPG tanks to the depot in Mandaue is now possible.
General Manager Jan Kasey Yaun believes that the new depot greatly benefits LPG consumers in Cebu.
“Dili na ta mahadlok nga mag-taas ang uban kay ang Regasco magpabilin gyud siyang ubos.” (We should not worry if other companies raise their prices because Regasco will always be lower), assured Yaun.
Future Plans
Regasco’s expansion plan are far from slowing down. Looking ahead, the company remains optimistic that more non-exclusive dealerships in Cebu would emerge in the near future.
“Naka advantage namo is wala miy contract, kung ganahan ka mag dealer, okay basta kuhai lang kog 100 lang sa ka 11kg (LPG tanks) so iconsider na tika as my dealer.” (Our advantage is we don’t issue a contract. If you buy 100 pieces of 11kg LPG tanks from us, we will already consider you as our dealer), exclaimed Yaun.
Regasco is currently focusing on its Luzon and Visayas expansion. The company is also contemplating on a Mindanao expansion, considering it would significantly affect LPG products.
